Mexico Mission 2017 House #1Village of Tinum

House #1 Today we were in the village of Tinum. It's the first time I'd ever been there. Allen, one of my dad's employees lives there and was able to help us find families in need in his community. We pulled up to a thatched roof home made of sticks. The grandparents and 7 year old boy were home. I was carrying a soccer ball in my hands so the boys eyes lit up immediately. Take a close look at the pants of the old man. Tattered, patched and held up by rope. The walls of the hut are lined with card board boxes so even the box that we carried our despensa in will be put to use in helping to keep the cold out. As we left the grandfather gave us a heartfelt thank you able how much it meant to his family for us to be helping them.
